Mustard Seed Scholarship

Each year our youth department will offer a $200.00 scholarship to a selected candidate that aspires to further their education at the collegiate level. This award is determined on a competitive basis and requires the submission of your essay along with additional documents that are included on the cover page. All qualified youth are encouraged to submit an application.

Application Instructions:


Please complete the attached application form to apply for the Word of Life - Mustard Seed scholarship. Submissions are due no later than March 20th; late applications WILL NOT be accepted.


Requirements

  • Must be a member  of Word of Life Community Church

  • Must be a Senior in High School (DE)

  • Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher

  • Must show proof of acceptance letter to a Community College and/or University

  • Must attend church regularly and bible study at least once a month

  • Must submit an essay on “What it takes to be Successful” (200 words minimum).

MEMBERS

The candidate(s) must be a member of Word of Life Community Church in order to apply for this scholarship. In addition, the candidate must attend church on a regular basis as well as attend Bible study at least once a month.


DOCUMENTATION                                 

Copies of your high school transcript and acceptance letter(s). Your transcript must equate a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in order to move forward with this application. In addition, please send a copy of your letter of acceptance to a Community College and/or University.


ESSAY
The essay should include your reasons for wanting to become successful and your aspirations to do so. Your typed, double-spaced essay should consist of at least 200 words. Be sure to include your name at the top of your essay.


DEADLINE
Return this completed form along with your essay and supporting documentation by March 20th to be considered for the upcoming school year.
